I was told that my blood test for HSV2 came back positive by nurse at the facility I tested at. But when I looked up my test results online it showed equivocal on the IgG test. Does this mean I was exposed recently and that the next time I test I will show fully positive? I’ve never had an outbreak or any STI tests done before,

Can two people with genital herpes have a chemical imbalance after having sex

Girlfriend and I had sex for first time (both have genital herpes) . Couple of weeks later it felt like we just got a std in genital area. Weeks pass and both of us go get tested for std, results comes back negative besides herpes that we already had. Its been over 3 months and we still have a burning feeling and she has a small discharge so we get tested again with negative results besides what we already had.

Is it normal to suffer more from the prodome period and almost nothing at the outbreak? I feel it hypersensitive as it travels from its resting place all the way to the outbreak spot but nothing at the lesion area.

Can you get HSV-1 G if you already have HSV-1 0? If you've never had an outbreak, is there a test that can tell you if you are HSV-1 G positive or HSV-1 0 positive or both?

I gave someone with hsv1 a kiss on the lips fourmonths ago. Beginning two weeks later and and all the while since then, I have had nerve twitching on my lips and mouth area. Could I have a late first presence of an outbreak to come, because I haven't had any open sores or blisters?

I went to get tested for chlamydia, came out positive for that and HSV1 and HSV2

I have been reading some of the responses and some mention that the CDC does not suggest blood test for herpes. I went to get tested for chlamydia because my boyfriend tested positive for it. My doctor ordered a Herpes blood test along with it. I have never experienced any breakouts. Never did the swab test. And now my doctors says i am positive for both HSV1 and HSV2. So my question is, Am I asymptomatic? Could my now, ex boyfriend have it? And how could I have not known I had this?? And why did my (urgent care) doctor order a blood test if i never complained about it and the CDC does not recommend it to be done?
